5. Retention Period

We process personal data only as long as necessary for the aforementioned purposes. The personal data will then be deleted, provided that no statutory retention periods prevent data deletion.

II. Your Rights as a Data Subject

1. Right of access and rectification

You can obtain information from us at any time, free of charge, as to whether personal data relating to you is being processed by us, specifically which data is retained, and request a copy of the retained data. You can also request that incorrect data be corrected and completed.

2. Right to erasure, restriction, and the right to be forgotten

You can request the erasure and restriction of your personal data. If statutory retention obligations prevent the deletion of your personal data, your data will be marked with the aim of restricting its future processing.

3. Right to data portability

If applicable, you also have the right to have your personal data transmitted to you or another controller in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, provided that the processing is based on consent or a contract and is carried out using automated procedures. However, this does not apply if the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller. Furthermore, you have the right to have the personal data transmitted directly from one controller to another, provided this is technically feasible and does not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others.

4. Right to withdraw consent and the right to object

You can manage or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the 'Privacy Settings' link in our website footer. Alternatively, you can revoke your consent with future effect by contacting us at the email address provided above.

Furthermore, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data which is based on a legitimate interest. This also applies to profiling based on these provisions. In the event of an objection, we will no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

If we process personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data for the purpose of such marketing via the email address provided above. This also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to such direct marketing. You also have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data for scientific or historical research purposes or for statistical purposes, unless the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.

5. Right to Lodge a Complaint

Furthermore, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority and the possibility to seek legal remedies.

6. Existence of Automated Decision-Making

We refrain from automated decision-making or profiling as defined in Art. 22 GDPR.

If you have given your consent via the privacy settings on our website, we use Google Analytics, which is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). This involves collecting information such as which website the user came from (the "referrer"), which subpages were accessed and how often or for how long each subpage was viewed. We have integrated Google Analytics with the anonymisation function (_gat._anonymizeIp). This means that Google will shorten and anonymise your IP address if you access our website from a Member State of the European Union or from another state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
